At DAW Systems, we've spent over 30 years solving complex problems in healthcare technology. Our flagship platform, ScriptSure E-Prescribing, was born from firsthand clinical experience. Our founder, a practicing provider, who faced the burdens of handwriting, printing, and faxing multiple prescriptions daily. ScriptSure helped eliminate the risks of illegible handwriting, reduced pharmacy callbacks and brought transparency to prescription fulfillment, all while earning recognition for innovation, privacy, and security.

Now, we're applying that proven technology and experience to veterinary medicine. VETWAY is our purpose-built solution for veterinary practices. Secure, compliant and designed to simplify the prescription process. With deep knowledge in pharmacy interoperability and prescription standards, we built VETWAY to support the specific regulatory and clinical needs of veterinary care. It connects practices and pharmacies in one unified hub, streamlining approvals, reducing friction and supporting better outcomes. Our team includes the creators of one of the longest-running e-prescribing platforms in human health, former executives from leading pet pharmacies, practicing veterinarians and trusted advisors in animal health. Our Story

VETWAY isn't just a tech solution, it's the result of understanding the current inefficient system and committing to fix it. Fax machines, phone calls, disconnected portals and manual workarounds have long defined veterinary prescribing, slowing down care and frustrating everyone involved. When our founder brought his German Shepherd to the vet, he saw that the veterinary prescription process hadn't changed since the early days of human e-prescribing: fragmented, inefficient and outdated. Having already solved this once with ScriptSure, the opportunity to solve it again, this time for veterinarians, was clear. So we built VETWAY: a connected platform that replaces chaos with clarity and gives veterinary professionals the modern tools they deserve.

Our Solution

As more veterinary prescriptions are filled outside the clinic, especially through retail and mail-order pharmacies, the need for a streamlined, standardized workflow has never been more urgent. VETWAY delivers exactly that. Features like batch approval workflows, secure e-prescribing (including controlled and compounded medications), and a unified inbox across participating pharmacies make managing prescriptions faster, more secure and less burdensome for clinical teams.

Our Independence

VETWAY is owned and operated by DAW Systems, Inc., the developer of ScriptSure, the first and longest-running prescribing platform in the United States. We are not owned by, nor do we hold any financial interest in, any pharmacy, Practice Information Management Systems (PIMS), or third party; and no outside entity holds an interest in us. We partner with veterinary pharmacies and PIMS to improve connectivity and care delivery. We don't influence veterinarians in their prescribing decisions or pet parents in their pharmacy choices. VETWAY is a truly pharmacy-agnostic platform, giving veterinary teams the freedom to prescribe where and how they see fit, without bias or obligation.
